Overseerr is a request management and media discovery tool that works with the Imnita Mediaverse Plex server. It allows you to:
- Browse movies and TV shows that are available or not yet in our library
- Request new content you'd like to watch
- Track the status of your requests
- Discover new and trending content
Think of Overseerr as your way to help shape the Imnita Mediaverse library by suggesting content you're interested in watching. When you request something, it goes to me for approval, and if approved, it gets added to the download queue.
For returning users who just need a reminder:
- Go to request.imnita.net
- Sign in with your Plex account
- Search for a movie or TV show
- Click the "Request" button
- Check your email for notifications when content is available

- Open your web browser (works on computers, phones, tablets)
- Go to request.imnita.net
- You'll see the Overseerr home page with trending content

- Click the "Sign In" button
- Select "Sign in with Plex"
- Enter your Plex email and password (the same one you use for Plex)
- Authorize Overseerr to connect to your Plex account if prompted
💡 Tip: Using your Plex account to sign in ensures that your requests are linked to your Plex profile, making it easier to track what you've requested.

After signing in, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the Overseerr interface:
- Discover tab - Trending and popular content
- Search bar - Find specific titles
- Filters - Switch between movies and TV shows
- User menu - Access your requests and settings

Search for the movie you want or find it in the Discover section

Click on the movie poster/title to view details

You'll see one of these options:
- Available - Already in the Plex library (watch now)
- Request - Not yet available (can be requested)
- Requested - Someone already requested it
- Pending - Requested and waiting for approval

If the movie shows "Request", click the button

Add any comments if needed (optional)

Click "Submit Request"

Search for the TV show or find it in the Discover section

Click on the TV show poster/title to view details

You'll see the same status options as movies

For new requests, click the "Request" button

You'll have options to:
- Request all seasons
- Request specific seasons
- Request specific episodes

Make your selection

Add any comments if needed

Click "Submit Request"
💡 Tip: If you only want to watch certain seasons, it's helpful to request just those specific seasons rather than the entire series.

When your request is approved and the content becomes available:
- You'll receive an email notification
- The status in Overseerr will change to "Available"
- The content will appear in your Plex library

- Click on your profile icon in the top right corner
- Select "Requests" from the dropdown menu
- Here you'll see all your pending and approved requests
- You can filter between Movies, TV Shows, or view All requests

If you no longer want something you've requested:
- Go to your Requests page
- Find the item you want to cancel
- Click the three dots (⋮) menu
- Select "Cancel Request"

To add more information to a request you've already submitted:
- Go to your Requests page
- Click on the request
- Scroll down to the comments section
- Add your comment and submit
¶ Understanding Request Status 🔄
Each request will show one of these statuses:
- Pending - Request is waiting for approval
- Approved - Request has been approved and is in the queue
- Processing - Content is being downloaded/processed
- Available - Content is now available in the Plex library
- Declined - Request was not approved (check comments for reasons)

- Search First: Check if the content is already available in Plex
- Check Your Requests: Make sure you haven't already requested it
- Verify Details: Ensure you're requesting the correct title (especially for titles with remakes or similar names)

- Be Patient: Content may take time to become available
- Quality Over Quantity: Request content you genuinely want to watch
- Provide Context: If requesting something unusual or hard to find, add a comment explaining why
💡 Tip: For TV shows that are currently airing, new episodes will typically be added shortly after they air. No need to make separate requests for each new episode.
If you're having trouble signing in:
- ✅ Make sure you're using the correct Plex credentials
- ✅ Try clearing your browser cookies and cache
- ✅ Ensure you're connected to the internet
- ✅ Try using a different browser
If the request button isn't working:
- ✅ Try refreshing the page
- ✅ Make sure you're signed in
- ✅ Check if you've reached your request limit
- ✅ Try a different browser
If content shows as available in Overseerr but you can't find it in Plex:
- ✅ Check if you have access to the correct library in Plex
- ✅ Try searching for the title in Plex
- ✅ Refresh your Plex library
- ✅ Wait a few minutes as synchronization can sometimes be delayed
Requests are manually reviewed, so approval times may vary depending on my availability. Most requests are processed within 24-48 hours.
This depends on several factors like file size, availability, and download speeds. Movies generally appear faster than entire TV series.
Overseerr has built-in limits to ensure fair usage for everyone. If you need to request more content, please reach out to me directly.
If you find any issues with the content, please report it by finding the title in Overseerr and clicking the caution button. Add details about the issue in your report.
You can request most mainstream movies and TV shows. Very obscure content may be harder to source, but feel free to request it anyway!
Yes! You'll receive an email notification when your requested content becomes available in the Plex library.
Yes, you can see recent requests in the Discover section. This can help avoid duplicate requests.
- For TV Shows: Specify if you only want recent seasons to save download time
- For Movies: Check if there are multiple versions (theatrical cut, director's cut, etc.) and specify which you want
- For Foreign Content: Mention if you need specific subtitles
- For Ongoing Series: Once requested, new episodes will be automatically added as they release
